Does your baby have fussy evenings?
Are you concerned about your baby or toddler's sleep patterns?
If you are looking at the internet for answers, know that the Internet is flooded with inappropriate information about training babies to sleep.
Dr Sreenath, our guest today himself had to face numerous issues and found little to no help in the solutions available in the market some 11 years ago.
The situation has not changed much. We look out for answers when sometimes the answers are there with us. Our Indian culture and many other cultures of the world knew how to work with the changing needs of the babies. So, he looked out for indigenous solutions, read various studies and research papers to finally arrive at a few practical remedies that can be incorporated without the worry of the side-effects of the medicines because all these methods were natural.
For example, in this conversation he explains how nebulizers are not for every child, irrespective of this, it is now being prescribed as the first solution. He explains how parents with the right products and some education can prevent normal physiological cough and cold from aggravating and thereby ensuring reduced trouble for babies and parents alike.
He also speaks about how the various sleep training methods that include crying of the baby are suggestive of treating a baby , a whole human , like a machine, incapable of thinking for itself or feel in the least. This is not gentle and it is not developmentally healthy as well. In this episode, our expert, Dr Sreenath, walks us through some common questions regarding baby sleep, helping calm a fussy baby, reduce colic or working with nasal congestion , swinging , swaddling and holistically treating baby sleep and more. Dr Sreenath has done an extensive study on natural and indigenous methods that make parenting easier in the earlier days. Coming from his own experience of not just being able to find a suitable but 'convenient' solution for sleep issues, when he became a dad, he decided to find the answers himself and built Nasobuddy , a baby products company essentially started to solve Sleep Issues in Children and has now been helping women with other issues including breastfeeding. He also answers a few community questions ! If you answered the insta poll where I collected question for him and are a part of my community who sought an answer, hear this out now!
